I want to work with more companies like Hosanna Revival, here’s why: They highly emphasize the authority of scripture. Their mission is to “Excite women about engaging in Scripture by creating beautiful and intentional tools for their lives.”

Katie is an old friend of mine, an extremely talented artist, and the maker and founder of Hosanna Revival.

It all started when she began painting her Bible on a study abroad expeirence in Spain. Soon after this small act of personal creativity, she had to take a hiatus from school because painting bibles unexpectedly took off as a business.

In the early stages, Katie was selling all hand-painted Bibles. She quickly realized that as the company grew, she just didn’t have the time to spend 4+ hours on each bible, so her process looks a little different now. She creates an original painting by hand, then digitizes it to cover each Bible. Katie still offers made-to-order hand-painted Bibles and journals.

It had been years since I’d seen Katie, so it was super fun to catch up and to see her business up close. Currently, she runs a team of seven out of a warehouse just North of Cincinnati with her husband and their 140lb pup, Benny.
